The Breakfast Supervisor is responsible for:
· Providing oversight over the Breakfast Attendant as personnel is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests in an efficient and courteous manner.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Breakfast Supervisor's primary responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
- Assist the General Manager in the training and development of the food and beverage team.
- Assist the General Manager in completing and maintaining appropriate food and beverage inventory par levels, and departmental ordering needs as directed.
- Work with the General Manager to ensure departmental budgetary guidelines are met.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with the company's standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
- Comply at all times with the Hilton's standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Service guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous and professional manner.
- Clear, clean and reset tables as needed.
- Preparing buffet station for food set up. Ensuring buffet is stocked with silverware, plates and glassware.
- Accommodate any special requests made by a guest or offer appropriate alternatives.
- Greet guests and ensure they are comfortably seated in the breakfast area. Ensure quality control of menus with regard to cleanliness and appearance.
- Have a thorough knowledge of menus and changes made to the requirements.
- Perform opening and closing procedures, and side work duties.
- Ensure that tables and side stands are kept stocked, tidy and clean.
- Keeps all refrigeration, storage, and working areas in clean, working condition in order to comply with health department regulations.
- Ensures that all equipment in working areas is clean and in proper working condition to comply with health department regulations.
- Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and all of their fellow employees.
- Be familiar with the organization and know the function of each department.
- Attend meetings as required by management.
- Perform any other duties as requested by management.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITY
- Good working knowledge of the fundamentals of baked and cold food preparation.
- Good working knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation.
- Knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment, i.e., oven, microwave, coffee maker, etc.
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to understand recipes, measurements, order amounts and portion sizes.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language in order to complete orders, read recipes and communicate with other employees.
- Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use all kitchen equipment, i.e., spoons, spatulas, tongs, etc.
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 75 lbs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Education –High school diploma.
- Education—Food Handler’s Certification
- Experience – One year experience in related field preferred.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
