Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team at Hampton Inn & Suites Indio. This role will be responsible in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in housekeeping or have hospitality background. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that all areas are clean, safe, and welcoming for guests and staff alike.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
• Establishes the schedule and plans daily work assignments.
• Create room assignment lists/boards/distribute to housekeeping team daily.
• Conduct regular/daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Implement and uphold floor care procedures for various surfaces including carpets, tiles, and hardwoods.
• Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the hotel or facility.
• Reports to General Manager on daily basis to ensure daily housekeeping operations running smoothly.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations in all cleaning processes.
• Supervisory Responsibility This role oversees the housekeeping, houseman and laundry staff.

Requirements

• Knowledge of custodial practices, industrial cleaning techniques, and floor care maintenance.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team towards achieving high standards of cleanliness.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff and guests.
• A commitment to providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
• Multi-task is a must. Must be willing to jump in to help your department when needed. EX: Striping Rooms, help in houseman, inspecting rooms, laundry without hesitations.
• Must be willing to take on shifts when needed.
• Additional Eligibility Qualifications
• Must be bilingual (English and Spanish).
