What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tractor Trailer Tire Tech position at Hampton Inn & Suites Scottsdale Shea Blvd AZ?
As a tractor trailer tire technician, you will repair damaged tires of trucks, buses, cars, and other vehicles.
- Repair tubeless and tubed tires
- Repair and replace valve stems
- Operate tire changer machine in a safe manner
- Clean the wheel rims with solution and / or air grinder
- Must be able to differentiate between aluminum and steel rims
- Must be able to determine torque stick size for each model vehicle
- Perform visual inspection of each vehicle
- Put together an inventory list for your work area as needed
- Maintain clean and hazard free work area
- Must be able to speak with customers in a professional manner
- Must have basic math skills
- Must be able to understand and work through verbal and written instructions
- Must have a valid (clean) driver’s license
- Must be able to lift 100 pounds
- Must be able to work in a very noisy work area
- Must be able to work in hot and cold temperatures
