**Primary Responsibilities:**
- Clean and maintain the pool area and exercise room.
- Keep the grounds clear of visible trash and thoroughly clean the parking lot, sidewalks, breezeways, stairs, and entrance, including weed removal.
- Check the maintenance log in the front office and address any reported issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks.
- Report any issues that cannot be easily fixed to the manager on duty so professional help can be contacted.
- Bring any problems affecting guest satisfaction to the attention of the appropriate departments and the General Manager.
- Keep the storage area clean and secure; ensure all storage areas are locked before clocking out.
- Ensure there are sufficient housekeeping supplies on each floor and maintain adequate linens and supplies in stock.
- Verify that all exterior lights are functioning properly.
- Report and address any safety hazards throughout the hotel.
- Ensure the stock room is adequately stocked to last at least two weeks; notify the General Manager if supplies need to be ordered.
- Complete the guest room inspection checklist for each room.
- Clean equipment, including the filters on all HVAC units, windows, and doors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Education and Experience:**
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Hospitality experience is preferred.
- Completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent years of education and production maintenance experience is preferred.
- An Associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
