What are the responsibilities and job description for the Breakfast Attendant position at Hampton Inn - Summersville WV?
Must be dependable and available weekends and holidays.
The breakfast attendant oversees the setup and takedown of the breakfast buffet, as well as maintain the dining space, ensures food is available, areas are clean, and provides any other guest services requested.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be a morning person and have open availability, weekends and holidays (5 am start time)
- Oversee the setup and takedown of the breakfast buffet
- Welcome and provide personalized service to all guests
- Tend to hotel needs and requests
- Be aware of breakfast menu items
- Know about the entire property, service, hours of operation, location, nearby places of interest, etc.
- Prepare food in line with brand standards
- Ensure breakfast items are continually replenished and presented in an appealing manner
- Wipe up spills and maintain cleanliness of all appliances and counter space in the buffet area and workspace throughout the breakfast shift, practice clean-as-you-go procedures
- Clear and clean tables as they are vacated
- Ensure that guests are provided with the highest quality product and service at all times
- Put away truck items and be familiar with first in, first out practices
- Additional tasks may be assigned at any given time. The scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands.
