What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Services Representative - Floater/All Shifts position at Hampton Inn - Summersville WV?
We are looking for a front desk associate to work part-time with the flexibility to cover all shifts as needed. WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS ARE REQUIRED. MUST HAVE OPEN AVAILABILITY. Schedule could change at any time. This position will know how to run night audit, take reservations, check guests in and out, solve any guest problems immediately, and provide a positive guest experience.
Key Requirements:
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers and managers
- Reliable and dependable
- Flexible schedule - open all shifts and weekends/holidays
- Experience helpful but not necessary
- General computer knowledge required
- Must be at least 18 years old
Responsibilities:
- Check guests in and out of the hotel
- Welcome and celebrate all guests
- Make guest reservations on the phone and face-to-face
- Collect valid forms of payment from guests
- Think outside of the box and solve any issues that a guest may encounter as soon as it occurs
- Educate guests on local businesses and attractions
- Maintain a lost and found system
- Maintain a clean work area including office and lobby
- Follow and convey hotel policy
- Keep good written communication throughout a shift
