Key Responsibilities
- Room Maintenance
- Conduct regular room inspections to identify repair needs and ensure optimal functionality.
- Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings as necessary.
- Paint designated areas and items to maintain a high level of aesthetic appeal.
- Electrical Work
- Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, light switches, receptacles, light bulbs, and fixtures to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Furniture Repair
- Repair furniture to extend its lifespan and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Appliance Installation and Repair
- Install, replace, and program televisions to ensure seamless entertainment experiences for guests.
- Plumbing and HVAC
- Perform minor plumbing functions to prevent leaks and ensure water safety.
- Replace and repair heating and cooling pumps, as well as perform preventative maintenance on units, to maintain a comfortable temperature range.
- Trace and repair all types of water lines to prevent water damage and ensure optimal system performance.
- Kitchen Equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Record Keeping and Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of repair and preventative maintenance activities to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and codes related to maintenance and operations.
- Customer Service
- Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work towards increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction through excellent customer service.
- Assist with bell attendant duties during peak periods or staffing shortages to provide exceptional service to guests.
- Sustainability and Safety
- Adhere to sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program to minimize environmental impact.
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards to prevent injuries and ensure a safe working environment.
