Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose:
Responsible for supervision, labor, and cost control of the housekeeping department while providing the highest quality of cleanliness for the hotel in accordance with the standards of the hotel and company. Understands and implements the Pledge (Mission), Values and culture at all time
Pre-Requisites (Requirements):
- 3 years of experience in a branded, quality hotel preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent of same
-Must display professionalism and have characteristics of honesty and trustworthiness
- Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
-Must have a valid driver's license from the applicable state.
Work Environment & Context:
-Must be able to perform major life activities: standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating.
-Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, and reach
-Long hours sometimes required. Work schedule varies and may include occasionally working on
Holidays, weekends, and evenings
-Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift and/or carry 30 pounds
Duties:
Executive Housekeeper Duties
· Must be on property prior to housekeeping start 8:00 am -8:45 am
· Print housekeeping boards, assign housekeepers, distribute keys and hand out needed materials
· Inspect rooms and ensure cleanliness
· Make sure any repairs or maintenance issues found during inspection are entered into Quore
· Carry a radio at all times
· On days with heavy arrivals or during sold out days the Executive Housekeeper must provide the front desk with a room status by 1:00 pm. Ensuring that the front desk has clean rooms for early arrivals
· Training housekeepers
· Taking ownership when there is a guest complaint or when a room has not been inspected properly. The housekeeping executive must speak to the guest, apologize and attempt to resolve the issue
· Additional duties to be assigned as needed by the General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
