The Carlton Winemakers Studio is a shared winemaking facility that hosts fifteen brands and their winemakers and sells their wines in our tasting room. Since its first vintage in 2002, The Studio has been the home and launching pad for some of the most renowned brands in the Pacific Northwest. The position is at one of the most unique and exciting wineries in the United States. We seek an outgoing tasting room lead to work with our incredible team to tell our story.
Overview
This is a full-time tasting room position for someone available to work weekends year-round, with some exceptions; the position is Friday- Monday. The qualified candidate will be responsible for daily tasting room operations and sales. This is the perfect position for a wine professional (or enthusiast) who wants to work in an environment where you can work in the tasting room at a vibrant, functioning winery and learn about multiple brands and varietals. You'll need to be available to work weekends, with additional evenings and special events as needed.

Responsibilities
• Primary responsibility is direct sales and hospitality in our tasting room• Represent our client’s brands professionally and educate guests on the wines
• Coordinate regular cleaning schedule • Plans monthly team outings & maintains referral network lists
• Plans team winemaker tastings• Perform opening and closing procedures• Perform other tasks as assigned by manager• Be fun and down to earth
Qualifications
Education, Training, and Other Requirements:
Sales background, wine knowledge and hospitality experience are required. Meanwhile, we pride ourselves on fostering a learning environment for our employees as well as our guests.Applicants must be social, well-dressed, positive, dependable, and professional. You should be fun, articulate, and love giving our guests a fun and educational experience. We value a strong work ethic and people who enjoy working independently as well as with the team.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time. Applicants must be 21 years of age and have or be willing to obtain an OLCC Server’s Permit. Please keep in mind that we are an hour away from Portland when applying.We are an equal opportunity employer.
