Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal delivery to residents.
- Support the cook in meal preparation and cooking tasks as needed.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas after each meal service.
- Assist with inventory management by helping to stock supplies and report any shortages.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a hospital, nursing home, or similar setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
