As a Full-Time Residential Services Supervisor - ICF at the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of an Intermediate Care Facility that supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, alongside significant medical needs. This position involves direct supervision of a Habilitation Specialist and both full-time and part-time direct care staff, ensuring that residents receive the comprehensive services they require, including occupational, speech, and physical therapy. You will be expected to flex your schedule to accommodate weekends and evenings, adapting to the unique needs of our isolated facility.
The role also involves navigating challenges such as exposure to the elements and the potential for physical and verbal abuse from clients. Additionally, you will be required to work an overnight shift at least quarterly, all while fostering a professional and empathetic environment dedicated to excellence in care.

To excel as a Full-Time Residential Services Supervisor - ICF at the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, such as Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Special Education, complemented by at least two years of experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including specific experience in an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF). Strong supervisory skills are preferred to effectively lead a team of direct care staff and a Habilitation Specialist. A valid driver's license is essential, as the role may require transporting clients as necessary. Additionally, successful candidates should demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to manage challenging situations, and a deep understanding of the unique needs of individuals with disabilities.

The knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services such as Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Special Education
- two (2) years of experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities including ICF experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid Driver's License. Transports clients as necessary.
