QUALIFICATIONS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, grasping, pushing and pulling, fine hand coordination, ability to hear and respond to pages, ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and directions; ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel, vendors and consultants; ability to distinguish smells, tastes, and temperatures; and the ability to remain calm under stress.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Assuring resident safety.
o Assist in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance as necessary and on a timely basis, following established portion control procedures.
o Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
o Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures as directed, including: cleaning work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc.; sweeping and mopping floors as directed; bussing tables; returning clean utensils to proper storage areas; washing and cleaning utensils as directed.
o Carry out garbage and keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment and supplies.
o Set up prior to meals, and remove following meals, meal trays, food carts, and dining room, as instructed.
o Assist cook in preparing meals and supplies, and checking diet trays before distribution. o Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas.
o Serve food in dining room as instructed.
o Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.
o Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times.
o Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies.
o Ensure that food and supplies for the next meal are readily available.
o Assist in inventorying and storing in-coming food and supplies as necessary.
o These duties and responsibilities are not a comprehensive list, and additional tasks may be assigned from time to time. The scope of this position may change as necessitated by business demands.
