What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lube Technician position at Hampton Toyota?
Our company has an opportunity for a results-focused Express Service & Lube Technician.
Our Express Maintenance department typically handles all fluid and filter changes, rotations, inspections, and routine service. We have openings for people who take pride in their work, and want to be the best at it while maintaining a positive relationship with dealership associates and customers alike. Growth track for this position includes factory training to achieve full Toyota certified Automotive Service Technician.
Job Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
- Perform customer desired express maintenance, typically fluids, filters, tires, batteries, and alignments, and other jobs as assigned.
- Examine vehicles and report findings to Service Advisor.
- Monitor repair times and update Service Advisor to keep customer abreast progress, findings, and status.
- Understand and properly utilize all dealership processes, computer systems, tools, computer programs, etc.
- Adhere to OSHA standards.
- Keep up with dealership and manufacturer training, certifications, recalls, & bulletins.
- Be able to follow proper protocol for diagnosing and repairing all vehicles.
- Be able to dictate and properly document all critical information into Repair Orders, notes, etc.
- Understand and adhere to all Federal, State and Local regulations such as disposal of hazardous waste, etc.
- Attend department meetings as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and neat work area.
- Exude a strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication.
- Maintain honesty and integrity while performing all job duties.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and codes of conduct.
Qualifications and Licenses:
- A valid, unrestricted driver's license (you must be insurable).
- Maintain a clean, acceptable, safe driving record.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening requirements which include a drug screen, a background check and a Motor Vehicle Report.
- Be able to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language.
Physical Demands:
To perform the duties of this job you will need to be able to regularly sit, stand, and walk for long periods, use hands and fingers, to touch, handle, and feel, and to talk or hear. You must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 55 per week
