Job Title : HR Generalist
Work Hours : 7 : 00am to 4 : 00pm, Monday through Friday
Pay Range : Depends on experience
Position Summary :
The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting Hamstra Heating and Cooling's workforce by managing and overseeing various human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. This position ensures that HR policies and practices align with company values and support a positive workplace culture. The HR Generalist will work closely with leadership and employees to foster engagement, enhance retention, and maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Requirements :
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred)
- 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist role
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
- Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration
- Strong skills in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- HRIS experience a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
