Title : Senior Technical Architect
Location : Remote role (Should be open to work on EST hours)
JD :
We are on the lookout for a hands-on well rounded Technology Architect to provide expert guidance in Engineering IT, Cloud, Application, and Security aspects for digital transformations. Should have good knowledge of insurance systems and domains.
Role
Architecture Design : Creating comprehensive architecture models and blueprints for IT systems, including applications, data, and technology integrations.
Ensuring seamless integration of new technologies with existing systems.
Governance and Standards : Establishing and enforcing standards, guidelines, and best practices for technology usage and architecture.
Project Oversight : Overseeing the implementation of major IT projects to ensure they align with the architectural plan and business strategy.
Risk Management : Identifying and mitigating risks associated with IT systems and infrastructure.
Required Experience :
Insurance Domain Knowledge : A solid understanding of the insurance industry, particularly the unique aspects and complexities of the Specialty Commercial Insurance, including insurance underwriting, claims processing, risk management, and regulatory requirements
Ability to understand and interpret Business Requirements and convert them into Technology implementation specifications for the development and integrations teams to follow
Strong knowledge of IT architecture principles, enterprise architecture frameworks, and various technology platforms
Familiarity with core insurance systems like policy administration, claims management, reinsurance, and reporting systems used in the insurance industry
Technical Skills :
Programming Languages : Proficient in Java, C#, or Python. Experience with frameworks like Spring Boot, ASP.NET Core, or Django.
Cloud Platforms : Expertise in public cloud solutions, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (specifically in the context of the insurance domain).
Microservices Architecture : In-depth knowledge of designing and implementing Microservices, with experience in RESTful APIs, gRPC, GraphQL.
Data & Databases : Strong experience with SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
DevOps & CI / CD : Experience with Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and other CI / CD pipeline tools.
Security : In-depth understanding of security standards, such as OAuth, JWT, TLS / SSL, and other techniques for securing sensitive data.
Middleware & Integration : Experience with integrating core systems such as policy management, claims processing, billing, and third-party integrations (e.g., APIs, ESBs).
Agile Methodologies : Proficient in Agile / Scrum software development methodologies.
Industry-Specific Knowledge :
Proven experience in the insurance industry, including hands-on expertise with core insurance systems such as policy administration, claims management, and underwriting.
Experience with AIM, ClarioDoor, EPIC, Mulesoft, API, Oracle, Carrier APIs, Insure Pay, Aggregators etc all part of the Insurance industry
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field and / or commensurate experience.
10 years of progressive information technology experience, ideally in architecture, design, development primarily in insurance industry.
Experience in Enterprise Architecture or Enterprise IT Strategy or a related field.
Experience in one of the Architecture domains of Technology, Application, Data, or Insurance Business.
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio C#, Azure, Oracle, GitHub, MuleSoft, Okta, and other modern tool stacks.
Any insurance-related software tools and technology experience is a plus.
