We are seeking an organized and efficient Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Worcester, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for inputting and maintaining accurate data in our company's database systems, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of critical information.
- Enter data from various sources into computer systems and databases with speed and accuracy
- Verify and validate data to ensure its completeness and correctness
- Review and update existing data in databases as needed
- Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
- Scan documents and enter relevant data into designated databases
- Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
- Identify and report any inconsistencies or errors in data
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Respond to data-related queries from other departments
- Assist in generating reports and data summaries as required
Qualifications
- Proficiency in data entry software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Fast and accurate typing skills with a minimum of 50 words per minute
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with database management
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous data entry experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Capacity to sit for extended periods and maintain focus on repetitive tasks
