What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restaurant Server position at Hana Japanese Steakhouse?
$10 hourly base pay plus cash tips , 20% mandatory gratuity for large tables/high bills, hibachi table tips split with hibachi chefs, portion of tips given to bussers and bar (if drinks ordered), paid training $15 hour
Greet customers at your assigned tables, ask about drinks, make drinks in kitchen and bring to table ASAP
Ask about ordering appetizers, bar drinks, and desserts (after entree), answer menu questions, take orders and submit into computer system, pick up food from kitchen/sushi bar and drinks from bar and bring to table, bring necessary items that go with food (extra plates, soy sauce, steak knives, etc)
Take away finished dishes/glasses, refill water and ask about drink refills
***Record hibachi orders for each seat with food abbreviations and leave on hibachi table for hibachi chefs to prepare and serve food (servers don’t bring hibachi orders to hibachi tables)
Miscellaneous nightly side work (restock glasses, polish utensils, wipe down check folders etc)
