Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Door Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises while providing excellent customer service to guests and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring activities, managing conflicts, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
Duties
- Greet and assist guests as they enter and exit the premises, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV, to identify any suspicious activities or potential threats.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety and security protocols are being followed.
- Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations when necessary.
- Enforce access control policies by checking identification and credentials of individuals entering the facility.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, applying first aid or CPR when required until professional help arrives.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and loss prevention teams as needed to address security concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, visitor logs, and any unusual occurrences during shifts.
Requirements
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment and loss prevention techniques is a plus.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required.
- A militarized background or relevant training may be beneficial for this role.
