Position Summary: Facilities Technician
- Provide daily support to facilities for equipment related troubleshooting, maintenance, preventive maintenance, and new installations. Assists production, engineering, and equipment techs as needed. Performs tasks in a timely and safe manner to meet customer needs.
- Highschool Diploma/GED
- Two-year college degree and/or trade certification preferred
- Three to Five Years’ experience in facilities related equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in some facilities related projects such as HVAC, roofing, building needs, compressors, fire suppression, plumbing, electrical, equipment rigging and vendor contract negotiations.
- Some experience assisting in manufacturing equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, part replacement and installations.
- Experience participating in building and equipment safety.
- Ability to work OT sometimes as business needs require.
- Understanding of the facilities’ short- and long-term tasks including maintenance, preventive maintenance, end-of-life facilities replacements.
- Support projects involving outside contractors and vendors. Actively taking advantage of gaining knowledge during involvement.
- Daily/Weekly timely completion of equipment preventive maintenance and calibrations.
- Utilization of Maintenance management software to record events and completion of tasks. Proactively looking for opportunities to improve the equipment and/or process.
- Timely completion of documentation and training sign offs. Including PR’s, work orders, and schedules.
- Proactively escalate and communicate needs for support from other departments.
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Timely reporting and ordering of equipment consumables and/or PM related items.
- Support custodial needs when needed.
- Support plant Safety Committee
- Other duties as assigned.
- Appropriate level of electrical and mechanical understanding to troubleshoot equipment independently, with engineering and/or with vendor/contractors.
- Ability to interact with people with respect, collaboration, and integrity
- Ability to understand and uphold Safety, ESD, Clean room gowning, and ISO protocols
- Good communication skills
- Good organization and problem-solving skills
- Ability to utilize tools and measurement devices. Experienced in basic facilities and equipment troubleshooting including electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to safely utilize common maintenance equipment such as ladders, tools, lifts, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
