Job Summary :
The Entry Level Technician functions as a technician who can perform oil changes, tire rotations, and basic automotive maintenance.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Duties & Responsibilities :
Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, following dealership and factory standards.Diagnoses the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.Communicates with Parts Department to obtain needed parts.Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.Communicates with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if the work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.Inspects and test drives newly delivered vehicles for obvious damage and missing major components and drivability functions.Installs optional equipment specified by the customer or dealer.Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean.Notifies the service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals, returning them to the proper place.Safely operates all tools and equipment, reporting safety issues immediately.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications

Enthusiasm for the Automotive Dealership industry with a focus on customer service.The capability of operating standard shift vehicles.Reliable with a solid work ethic.High-Volume Shop Experience.Excels in maintaining and repairing vehicles.Superior customer service.Strong communication skills.Commitment to continuous improvement.Experience maintaining high customer satisfaction.Must be able pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test)Education & Experience :
High School Diploma or GED.Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.Experience in a dealership or similar environment.Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.Physical Requirements :
Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.Must be able to lift 30 lbs. regularly.Must be able to inspect vehicle to determine repairs needed.Good vision to inspect repair work.Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.An Equal Opportunity Employer
