What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Tech - Weekend PRN position at Hancock County Health System?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs moderate and high complexity testing per CLIA standards. Performs hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, and coagulation testing to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Performs quantitative and qualitative procedures. Keeps detailed records of all tests performed and reports to authorized personnel. Will be required to work independently and perform phlebotomy on ER, inpatients, and outpatients.
HOURS:
Weekend package available - $1300 for working the entire shift, on-call starts Friday at 5:00pm to Monday at 5:30am. Additional hours available as needed. Must work at least one weekend per quarter. Must be willing to work on-call and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
MT, MLT, MLA, or CLA. Must have good vision and verbal skills. Must be able to perform well under pressure and cope with a variety of situations. Experience preferred.
