What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN Unit Coordinator position at Hancock County Health System?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates and organizes the nurse's station. Administers and assists in the planning and implementing of nursing care for patients. Functions with the State of Iowa Board of Nursing Standards for the Licensed Practical Nurse. Functions under the supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse.
- Responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of medical-surgical and emergency patients ensuring safe, quality and continuity of care is maintained under the supervision of the charge nurse. Care of all types of patients on assigned unit, while maintaining professional nursing standards.
HOURS:
Full-time, 72 hours a pay period, Will work four 9-hour days per week as Unit Coordinator. No weekends or holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and must be currently licensed in the state of Iowa. Must have good computer skills. Must have great computer skills and able to multi-task. Nursing or unit coordinator experience preferred.
