Loan Processor
Reports to: Vice President
Department: Lending
Location: On-Site position in our Weirton Office
This position is a full time support position in our Lending Department. It comes with full benefits including Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Disability. We offer a 401k with a company match, Paid Holidays, bereavement, and 3 weeks of Paid Time Off.
Position Summary:
As a Loan Processor you must answer phones and assist customers with the intent of providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will process new mortgage, commercial, equity and home equity line of credit loan applications accurately, efficiently and expediently following application up through loan closing while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. A critical facet of this position is the relationship with the Loan Specialists. You will work closely with them on a daily basis to ensure a smooth loan process for our customers.
Essential Functions:
1. Answer phones and assist customers
2. Provide excellent customer service
Process new mortgage, commercial, equity and home equity line of credit loans including, but not limited to:
Process loan request for a credit decision
Prepare loan application documents for the closing stage
Update and maintain loan software and records for all loans not yet originated
Process declined/withdrawn applications
Perform appraisal reviews
9. Perform all Compliance Training as required
10. BSA Meet the BSA/AML and OFAC requirements as outlined in the following:
Perform other duties that may be assigned
Additional Responsibilities:
Process loans to the Underwriter
Process preapproval requests to MGIC for decision
Maintain Attorney and Appraiser fee sheets as needed
Contact Appraisers for status of appraisal completions
Contact Closing Agents for status of closing dates
Process Contractors for bank approval as needed
7. Distribute and/or prepare courier bag contents
Position Requirements:
Professional Experience (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Successful candidate must be a detail oriented, organized team player who is able to stay on task even when interruptions occur.
- Must be able to file, type, use a computer, use adding machine and have basic math skills, and operate basic office machines
- Must be able to use basic computer programs for spreadsheets and word processing
- Must be able to perform basic clerical duties
- Must have good oral and written communication skills in person and on the telephone

High school diploma
