REPORTS TO: Shop Foreman
GENERAL SUMMARY: Hancock Structural Steel, LLC is seeking a telehandler operator/painter/laborer who helps preparing surfaces, mix paints for different needs, and apply them with brushes, rollers or sprays to fill in cracks or apply color on steel and other objects. Good painting has both practical and aesthetic benefits. This position also operates a telehandler to move steel and unload/load trucks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, etc.
- Reading blueprints/instructions to determine work necessary
- Painting of structural steel or metals
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Operate telehandler as needed
- Delivering materials
- Assisting steel fabricators
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a good driving record
- Great attention to detail
- Highschool education (or equivalent) preferred
