This position is also responsible for the overall Business Banking Sales Management Process which clearly defines and communicates ethical sales practices that align with the overall corporate philosophy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is also responsible for the overall Business Banking Sales Management Process which clearly defines and communicates ethical sales practices that align with the overall corporate philosophy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overall responsibility of the Business Banking sales management team to include clearly defined ethical sales practices that align with the overall corporate philosophy.
- Manages development and implementation of the Business Banking Sales Management Strategy within the Core Retail bank to include; effective client engagement, results driven activities, long term client relationships and skilled/engaged knowledgeable associates.
- Responsible for leading the recruitment efforts for Business Bankers across the Hancock Whitney footprint.
- Responsible for closely monitoring client selection and asset quality of the Business Banking portfolio.
- Partners with Retail Operations on goal setting and the Consumer segment on any strategy and sales initiatives.
- Works jointly with Data Analytics to collaborate on Business Banking segment.
- Partners with Wealth Management to collaborate on Business Banking segment.
- Partners with Product Development, Marketing, Technology, Retail to collaborate on any Business Banking segment product needs, or project initiatives, process flow, and client experience.
- Works jointly with Credit and Finance to collaborate on any Business Banking budget, goal or planning initiatives.
- Coordinates with Retail Executive Management and Corp Executives on Business Banking ad hoc analysis requests and research.
- Maintains a high level of communication and collaboration with all partner segments within the company.
- Regular travel to markets across Hancock Whitney's footprint is a requirement in order to effectively manage this segment.
- Works with compliance to ensure Business Banking production is compliant with fair lending guidelines.
- Promotes a consultative sales process and ethical culture and works with Learning and Development to ensure Business Banking associates receive proper training needed to exhibit appropriate ethical sales behaviors.
- Reviews and evaluates key metrics to align with corporate objectives.
- Maintains knowledge of industry and trends within each market, and keep a strong knowledge of competitor’s offers.
- Identifies areas that would improve the operation and generate suggestions on how to improve the program.
- Is active in community and professional groups as a means of potential client acquisition.
- Attends sales meetings and required training sessions for improved expertise and satisfying licensing requirements.
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in a business related field) or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of banking experience with proven sales experience.
- 5 years previous success in sales as an individual contributor and as a sales leader.
- Knowledge and understanding of laws and regulation pertaining to the banking industry.
- Experience leading or participating in events and activities for local networks or professional organizations, such as the chamber of commerce, professional business groups, or chapters of national organizations such as the United Way.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage time and competing priorities in a Retail Sales environment.
- Leadership skill and knowledge in order to: Provide associates timely, candid and constructive feedback; develop associates to their fullest potential by providing challenging opportunities; develop appropriate talent pool to ensure succession planning, and proactively recognizing and rewarding associates for their accomplishments.
