Manages several subordinate supervisors who supervise a number of employees in the bank branches in the area of responsibility; Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units; Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:
Manages a region of Hancock Whitney branches by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs and coordinates branches or offices in implementing institutional policies, procedures and practices concerning granting or extending lines of credit, commercial loans, real estate loans and consumer credit loans.
- Oversees and directs activities of branches or offices to ensure profitability and operational efficiency.
- Contacts customers and business, community, and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business.
- Works with customers to resolve account problem.
- Plans and directs the overall retail and operational activities within assigned branches.
- Exercises managerial control over functions of the assigned branches, including participation in the budget process, implementation of regional/local policy and explanation of company programs, policies and objectives.
- Establishes sales goals and strategies, and periodically assesses performance against set goals.
- Conducts sales calls or staff meetings to monitor success of goals and coach/assist as needed.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of branches through analysis of branch activity reports.
- Establishes service policies and standards for retail accounts in order to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Accountable for maintaining corporate standards for regulatory compliance, lending and risk management policies, and internal financial and operational controls for all activities related to assigned branches.
- Coordinates with others within Retail Banking on long range planning.
- Extends credit to businesses and/or individuals through a wide variety of installment, and/or real estate loans.
- Implements lending policy to realize desired portfolio objectives in terms of type and size of loans, interest rates, and terms offered.
- As senior lender within the branches, supervises and works on problem loans, provides training to junior loan officers and restructures loans concerning workout situations to avoid or minimize losses.
- Manages and reports on overall loan growth, consumer loan growth, business/commercial loan growth, and mortgage production.
- Manages and reports on the branch’s “Credit Quality” including delinquencies, watch list loans, problem loans, work out and recovery.
- Maintains prescribed security controls to protect facilities against criminal and fraudulent operations and unnecessary risk or exposure.
- Represents the company in various civic and community functions to further enhance its image and develop additional business.
- Serves as management’s direct link to the assigned communities.
- Ensures alignment of the branch’s business development and marketing goals with Corporate goals.
- Reviews and recommends objectives, policies, and procedures for assigned branches.
- Plans for and recommends the expansion/contraction of banking facilities, increases in staff and changes in hours of business for assigned branches.
- Provides advice and guidance to Branch Managers and other subordinate personnel.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
- Master's degree or equivalent; ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Language Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing using the English language
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. As such, upon active employment you will be required to either register on NMLS or re-register and move your previous registration. Your continued employment in this position is contingent upon successful registration immediately after your start date and annual renewal of your registration thereafter. In addition, information obtained during the registration process may impact your employment.
- Computer Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to learn or knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access

- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
- Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions

- Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions
- Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
