Our expanding regional law firm seeks a talented Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. We are looking for candidates with a robust academic background, outstanding research and writing abilities, adeptness in managing diverse caseloads, and 2-5 years of litigation experience. As an Associate Attorney, you will collaborate closely with Firm Members to represent clients in complex litigation matters including construction, commercial liability, insurance coverage, and bad faith.
Essential Functions
Normal professional office setting. Evening and/or weekend work. In State travel will be required.
Typical Physical Needs
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. May need to climb stairs and lift up to 30 lbs.

As an Associate Attorney, you will collaborate closely with Firm Members to represent clients in complex litigation matters including construction, commercial liability, insurance coverage, and bad faith.
Essential Functions
- Conduct legal research on various issues and provide analysis and interpretation of statutes, regulations, and case law.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations.
- Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
- Interview clients, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather information and evidence for cases.
- Analyze and assess potential risks and liabilities associated with legal matters and provide strategic advice to clients.
- Collaborate with Members and legal staff to develop case strategies and trial preparation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and other parties involved in legal proceedings.
- Delegate effectively to, paralegals, and legal assistants.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar association.
- 2-5 years of experience practicing law, preferably in the relevant practice area.
- Strong academic record with excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of substantive and procedural law relevant to the practice area.
- Experience with legal research tools and technology.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, ethics, and client service.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and areas of law.
