Billing Assistant Needed for Home Healthcare

Job Description: Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about helping others? We are seeking a Billing Assistant to support our billing department in ensuring accurate and timely processing of billing information. As a Billing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our company by assisting with billing tasks and providing exceptional service to our patients and their families. Key Responsibilities: Accurately enter and update billing information in our system. Assist in preparing and sending invoices to patients and insurance companies. Verify insurance coverage and follow up on unpaid claims. Respond to billing inquiries from patients, families, and insurance companies. Maintain organized and up-to-date billing records. Collaborate with the billing team to resolve any billing discrepancies. Ensure compliance with all billing regulations and company policies.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus. Previous experience in a billing role, preferably in a healthcare setting. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of medical billing and coding is a plus.
