What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Teacher (1099-NEC) position at Hand Over Hand LLC?
Founded in 2016, Hand Over Hand LLC is a Special Education agency dedicated to providing quality education for children of all abilities. Our ongoing personalized programming is designed to meet the needs of students who benefit from individualized support in the areas of academic learning, executive functioning, and social interaction at the primary, secondary and post-secondary levels.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one academic, social-emotional, and behavioral support to elementary school students in a Manhattan Private School.
- Implement individualized educational strategies to meet IEP/IESP goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure the student’s success.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- NYSED License in Special Education- Early Childhood and/or Childhood (required)
- Experience working with young children with special needs (Preferred).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Flexibility and creativity in adapting strategies to meet student needs.
- Must be fingerprinted by the DOE. If you are already fingerprinted by the DOE, please note that in your reply!

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $55.00 - $85.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 15 per week
