ssistant Manager – Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, Carytown
Are you a responsible, dependable individual with excellent communication, management, and sales skills? Hand & Stone Carytown is seeking a motivated Assistant Manager to join our team and help lead one of the top-performing spas in the Richmond market.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the Spa Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations and assisting in leading a high-volume spa. We are looking for someone who is goal-oriented, can lead by example, and possesses strong sales and management skills.
Position Summary:
As the Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Spa Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the spa. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Achieving membership sales goals.
- Communicating sales promotions and service options to clients.
- Managing client appointments, including scheduling and confirmations.
- Greeting clients and assisting with check-ins and check-outs.
- Maintaining knowledge of our products and services to provide clear and effective communication.
- Assisting with the execution of daily operational tasks and goals.
- Upholding cleanliness standards across the spa.
- Effectively communicating with staff to optimize the appointment schedule.
- Handling data entry and appointment bookings.
- Managing staff schedules for the front desk, massage therapists, and estheticians.
- Overseeing staff training and development.
- Managing inventory and ordering retail and professional products.
- Assisting in the creation and implementation of sales goals for staff.
- Ensuring adherence to corporate protocols.
Position Requirements:
- Proven sales experience with a track record of success; membership sales experience is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills and a desire to advance into top-level management roles.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends (Sundays), and holidays.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computer systems; experience with retail/appointment booking software is a plus.
- Strong team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
- Problem-solving skills, especially in customer conflict resolution.
