Shift Team Leader

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our dynamic team. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a positive work environment. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage both staff and resources effectively within a fast-paced ice cream parlor setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations, ensuring adherence to company standards.
• Lead by example and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high-quality food standards.
• Assist in budgeting and financial management, including cash handling and inventory control.
• Manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels for peak hours.
• Train new employees on restaurant policies, procedures, and best practices in hospitality, customer service and a team based environment.
• Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly, providing solutions to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure efficient food preparation and timely service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service counter areas, cabinets, pick-up window and backroom work areas.
• Make fresh ice cream daily based off specific quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing as a Shift Team Leader or a similar leadership role within the ice cream or restaurant industry.
• Knowledge of budgeting, cash handling, and financial reporting.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
• Communicate professionally and positively at all times.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead by example and inspire team members.

• Must be available to work shifts from Sunday through Saturday and some evenings for coverage.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.50 per hour
