Overview
We are seeking a professional & punctual part-time security/door person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have several years' experience at a nightclub. As door security, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our bar is safe for all patrons and operating within the boundaries of the law.

Featuring a beautiful two-story patio, friendly staff, & a packed event calendar, HandleBar is an eclectic bike-themed pub that fosters a diverse community. Founded in 2010 by Tatyana Telnikova, a Russian immigrant, HandleBar is a staple of the vibrant Grove neighborhood. Visit us to enjoy local beers on tap, signature cocktails, tasty pizza, & a popping dance floor.
Responsibilities
- Greeting people as they enter the building.
- Checking IDs; refusing entry for reasons such as intoxication or under legal age.
- Performing pat downs or metal detector scans as well as inspecting bags for prohibited items, contraband or weapons.
- Assuming the responsibility of the safety for everyone within the establishment.
- Escorting unruly patrons from the premises.
- Protecting property of the establishment.
- Working with local law enforcement to maintain order within the establishment.
- Using walkie-talkies to communicate with bar staff.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 22 per week
