Installer
1) Summary:
a) Installers work in factories, power plants and other industrial settings to move, repair, assemble, install, or dismantle machinery.
b) Must be willing to flex schedule.
c) Must be willing to travel stateside and abroad.
d) Must be able to lift 80 pounds.
e) Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
f) Required to operate heavy machinery (P.I.T, overhead crane, scissor lift and aerial lifts)
g) Position will frequently be exposed to heat, cold, noise and heights
2) Reporting Relationships
a) The Installer reports directly to Millwright
b) From time to time, other department heads may request to add additional responsibilities; the Installer should always be responsive of those requests.
3) Responsibilities / Duties
a) Read and interpret prints, schematics, and detailed repair drawings.
b) Dismantle equipment when required for repair or transportation and reassemble it at the appropriate time.
c) Align and calibrate machinery and equipment parts as required for efficient and safe operation
d) Travel to construction sites to meet project-based needs.
e) Welding experience is a HUGE plus
f) Iron worker skillset (hang steel beams and disassemble crane structures)
g) Knowledge of the use of cutting torch

a) Machinery is installed as detailed by the print.
b) Maintenance is performed as detailed by the manufacturer or industry standards.
