Job Summary
The Clinical Services Manager provides routine and emergency assessments and nursing care to ensure optimal health status for each individual we support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate physician and health care services for people served
- Conduct health care assessments and write health care plans
- Provide oversight to all company nurses and assist with case loads as needed
- Facility training and orientation of new staff regarding healthcare procedures including new nurses
- Provide on call assistance to staff as needed
- Documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner on the appropriate forms
- Engage in health promotion, prevention, and education activities (i.e., assess for risky behaviors and attempt behavior change).
- Assess acute and chronic conditions that could result in rapid physiological deterioration of life-threatening instability.
- Facilitate admissions, transfers, and/or discharges of patients
- Manage the medication system, administer and document medication treatment.
- Screen and monitor participants for medical problems/side effects.
- Ensure company rosters and records are completed in a timely manner
- Assist with compliance for state certification
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Must be able to be licensed as a LPN and able to work in the state of Nebraska
- 1 year of general nursing experience, preferably in IDD
- A valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation is required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Must possess well developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all levels of staff within the organization.
- Must be highly organized and responsive to immediate needs.
- Must have sufficient knowledge of computer systems (Word, Excel and Outlook) to develop and maintain necessary programs to support quality assurance activities.
- Must be willing to travel when needed
Essential Functions/Physical Requirements
Good hearing and visual skills; ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds.
