Hands of Hope Services, Inc. is a DDA provider seeking both male/female staff to work with a two gentlemen in CUMBERLAND, MD
This is a full-time position for 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 8am to 4:00p.m.

The primary responsibility is to assist individuals served in community integration to participate in activities of choice, ability to manage behaviors; ability to implement individual’s Person-Centered Plan; provide assistance with activities of daily living; ability to support and assist with toileting.
Must be able to provide transportation services to community activities and events; provide transportation to, from, and within activities; assist, support and instruct individuals in self-help skills designed to encourage independence.
Facilitate and promote integration and inclusion in the individual’s chosen community; including identifying a path to employment for a working age individual; assist the individual with self-advocacy classes and activities. The DSP will engage and integrate individuals in local community events and provide personal care assistance during community activities.
The DSP must be able to provide documentation of care provided; activities performed for each goal area using the community/recreation activity log.
Job Requirements
Be at least 18 years old(ID card – Driver’s License, Birth Certificate, Social Security Card etc.);
Pass a criminal background investigation, have child protective services clearance, if supporting a child;
Have a bachelor’s degree or demonstrate one (1) year of life experiences and skills in navigating a broad; range of community resources for individuals with a developmental disability and their families;
Complete the required DDA training prior to service delivery;
Be current in first CPR, First Aid, Certified Medication Technician (CMT)certifications;
Complete necessary pre/in-service training based on the Person-Centered Plan;
Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have Automobile Insurance for automobiles that are owned, leased, and/or hired and used in the provision of services.
