Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Assessor to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. This position requires a strong background in various nursing specialties, including critical care and hospice palliative medicine, as well as experience in infection control and acute pain management. The Nurse Assessor will work collaboratively with medical staff to provide comprehensive assessments and interventions for patients in various settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status and needs.
- Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care.
- Administer injections and other medications as required.
- Monitor patients for signs of infection and implement infection control measures.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment options and care plans.
- Participate in critical care transport when necessary.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in medical records.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, particularly in ICU settings.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is essential.
- Familiarity with hospice palliative medicine is preferred.
- Experience administering injections and managing acute pain is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of infection control practices is required.
- Background in critical care transport or hospital medicine will be considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are crucial for success in this role.

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
