We're looking for a passionate teacher who is loving, caring, self-motivated and has passion in early childhood education. We’d also love to have a teacher with special talents in music, math, science, language (Spanish or Chinese) etc. as we encourage our staff to build up their own curriculum with the students.The teacher teaches in a creative and stimulating mix of Play-based and Montessori Methods, with an amicable working environment, great colleague team and excellent career advance opportunities.

Job Duties

· Lead, teach and operate in the classroom of children ages 2-5, play based classroom with Montessori influence preferred.

· Train, supervise assistant teachers, provide feedback and follow through

· Collaborate with other teachers in overall school operation

· Communicate with parents on children's performance, conduct parent conferences

· Communicate and work with the director on classroom operation, progress and issues etc.

· Setup up and clean classrooms and other area in the facility

Qualifications

• ECE/Montessori Certified Teacher (2-5 age group) or a minimum of 12 ECE units

• Have 3 units in each of the following Child Development courses:Child Development,Child, Family & Community,Program/Curriculum.3 units of Infant/Toddler class for Toddler Teacher position is preferred but not required

• Montessori AMS/AMI Certified or equivalent preferred but not required

• Minimum of 2 years early childhood education work experience in an early childhood facility serving students between 2-6 years old

• Special Talents in Music, Math, Art, Science is a huge plus

• Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred)

• 15 hours Health and safety (preferred)

• Computer and Social Media skills (Preferred)

Important Qualities:

• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields

• Passionate about working with children

• Ability to build rapport with children

• Positive and patient demeanor

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Bilingual in Chinese or Spanish is a plus!

Physical Requirements

· Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. (with or without assistance)

· May require long periods of standing up and walking
