Painter

Job Summary
My HandyMan Company is looking for a new painter to help us expand into some larger projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong attention to detail. This role involves working on mainly residential projects, interior and exterior, where you will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to various surfaces. A successful Painter will be able to restore surfaces, know a bit about drywall repair, and always treat the customer with respect.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed.
• Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment.
• Restore damaged surfaces through patching drywall and caulking as necessary.
• Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
• Complete all work in a timely manner while ensuring high-quality results.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction painting, industrial painting, or similar roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with drywall installation and repair techniques is a plus.
• Experience with maintenance person tasks related to home improvement projects is beneficial.
• Knowledge of trim carpentry practices will be considered an asset.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Job Type: Temp-to-hire

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
