Position Summary:
Responsible for training, administering, testing, implementing, and coordinating changes to company-wide computer ERP System. This includes planning, coordinating, communicating system changes and training for all employees in all departments relating to system operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
– Administration duties for the company ERP / information system, Infor SX.e. This involves:
o Provides basic and department-specific training for new employees in all departments
o Provides operational support for all departments including Sales, Warehouse, Purchasing, Production, Accounting, Service, Rental.
o Understands how all system transactions flow, including Sales Orders, Warehouse Transfers, Purchase Orders, etc.
o Looks for system efficiencies and implementing them by coordinating with the VP of IT and Department managers.
o A strong understanding of how the systems work, and setups involved.
o A positive attitude towards implementing systematic changes.
– Maintains company phone system, including name changes, voicemail resets, etc.
– Develops and maintains archived procedures, understands company policies and how they relate to the ERP.
– Understand and write detailed description of program functions, the steps required to use functions at an end-user level
– Provide support to our Managed Service Provider by troubleshooting IT issues
– Provides basic troubleshooting steps for technical issues users are having before passing them off to external helpdesk team.
– Provides operational support for other ERP-related systems. Shipping, Document Management, Reporting, CRM, etc.
– Assists in implementation of new systems.
– Provides front-line support for users having system issues.
– Analyzes training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
– Experience with business analytics and reporting software and how to develop new reports for users requesting them.
– Observes confidentiality of sensitive information, including sales figures & personnel issues.
– Observes all safety procedures, rules and regulations, and instructions in performance of job duties.
– Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
– Must be results driven along with proven time management and project management skills
– Must have the ability to maintain client and project focus with frequent changes in priorities or schedules.
– Must have a strong understanding of the ERP system functionality, such as performance, security, and reliability.
– Must be able to manage all aspects of complex projects from inception to conclusion.
– Must have good organizational skills and be detail-oriented.
– Must possess strong verbal and written communications skills.
– Must have strong communications proficiency for providing training to all levels in the company.
Level of Education and Experience:
– Experience on Infor SX.e or other ERP system is strongly desired.
– Bachelor of Science Degree in business, computer science, information systems, or similar field is desired.
– Experience in a project management role is desired.
– Background in technologies such as client/server, relational database management systems is strongly desired.
– Working experience in a manufacturing or distribution industry is preferred.
