What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Custodian position at Hanford Elementary School District?
ASSIGNMENT: Washington Elementary School - 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 12 months a year. Regularly assigned shift is: 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: The Lead Custodian is responsible for maintaining a school facility in clean and safe condition. Cleans classrooms, rooms, offices, cafeteria, restrooms, shower rooms, recreation facilities, halls, windows, walls, fixtures, and equipment. Performs routine maintenance and repair duties. Trains, inspects, monitors work, and provides guidance to Night Custodian. Hanford Elementary School District is the largest school district in Kings County servicing nearly 6,000 students and employing over 700 personnel. Our District includes eight TK-6 Elementary schools, one K-8 Spanish Dual Immersion Charter school, two Junior High schools and one Community Day school. Knowledge of custodial methods; five (5) years of experience in the cleaning and maintaining of buildings; high school diploma or its equivalent; Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and overhead duties. A physical agility examination will be required.
Salary : $27 - $33
