Job Duties/Scope Of Work
This position resides in the Workforce Solutions Rewards and Support Department which oversees Benefits Administration for the Hanford Employee Welfare Trust and HMIS. We are looking for a personable, highly organized, detail-oriented individual to support the Benefits Administration team responsible for the operational administration of the Short Term and Long-Term Disability claims.
To be successful, the person occupying this position must be able to perform tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Proactive team member that can professionally complete confidential work including correspondence and memos.
- Have extensive employee and public contact while providing excellent customer service.
- Consolidate and maintain accurate desk instructions for related duties.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, knowledge of governing plan policies and procedures.
- Enter information into and retrieve information from PeopleSoft/HRIS.
- Receive benefits inquiries, assists employees directly if appropriate, or routes for further assistance to the appropriate subject matter expert; helps resolve any problems or questions in a timely manner.
- Interface regularly with other departments, other contractors' employees, and vendors.
- Provide support to the team as requested such as End-of-Year, Annual Enrollment, HEWT Quarterly Committee Meetings, etc.
- Work with and properly protects sensitive, private, and official use only information.
- Perform other duties as assigned related to the needs of this department and Human Resources.
Basic Qualifications
* High School diploma plus minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Must possess a strong attention to detail in a highly technical work environment and the ability to quickly adapt to changing work demands.
- Strong knowledge and skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in Human Resources
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge of benefits administration and relevant regulations.
Desired Qualifications
* Experience maintaining and following complex desk procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in HRIS systems, particularly PeopleSoft, and other relevant software applications.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manage data effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- 3 years of experience in benefits administration, with a focus on Short Term, Long-Term Disability, billing and FMLA.
- Experience working in a large, complex organizational environment.
- Familiar or experience w/basic AR principles.

Grade 5: $48,600 - $61,300
Grade 6: $53,413 - $67,338
Grade 7: $58,825 - $74,175
