Job Duties/Scope Of Work
* This position will assist the Internal Audit Director, as it relates to the Subcontract Audit Program, in preparation, forecasting and reporting of organization performance, budgets, manpower requirements, workload distribution, and the development of resource requirements.
- Represents the Internal Audit department and reports Subcontract Audit Program to the next higher management level.
- Direct work and monitor progress of Subcontract Audit Program including pre-award audits, interim labor audits, and post-award audits in accordance with the Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) Internal Audit Design Plan.
- Mentor staff on the Subcontract Audit Program and assist with training and professional development.
- Coordinates the process improvements and technology integration on the Subcontract Audit Program.
- Make decisions in the absence of a consensus.
- Assists staff in addressing and resolving a wide variety of concerns and/or complaints; serves as an interface to ensure management is aware of such concerns and/or complaints.
- Manages Subcontract Audit Program and supervises staff to perform assigned tasks timely and accurately.
- Ensures that all staff working under the Internal Audit – Subcontract Audit program direction maintains a safe and healthy work environment and follows established safety procedures and practices.
- Maintains a high level of communication and responsibility to internal and external clients.
- Provides leadership in determining solutions to complex problems and be recognized as having expertise in a functional area.
- Supervises and is responsible for resource allocation, budget, and completion of the pre-award audit function including the proposal audit and accounting system review engagements; interim labor audits, and post-award audits.
- Responsible to approve weekly time and attendance records.
- Functions as Internal Audit customer interface and liaison in absence of the Director, as it relates to the Subcontract Audit program.
- May be responsible for interface with Department of Energy (DOE) and/or the point of contact on contract deliverables to DOE.
- Assumes Internal Audit Director's Subcontract Audit Program responsibilities as delegated.
Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS degree, plus 10 years of experience in Business Operations (i.e. Human Resources, Finance, Internal Audit, Project Controls).
- A minimum of 2 years in management/leadership roles.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or other applicable professional certification or ability to obtain the certification within 2 years.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using TeamMate audit software or a similar application.
- Experience with Internal Auditors International Professional Practices Framework (Red Book) Standards.
- Proficient in Office Suite software applications.
- Familiarity with the federal government contracting industry.
Compensation & Benefits
Grade 20: $129,063 - $162,688
Grade 21: $142,038 - $179,113
