Job Duties/Scope Of Work
*Deliver assigned Projects in a manner that is procedurally compliant, within cost and schedule objectives and maximizes fee earning ability. Position will also ensure complete and succinct communications both horizontally and vertically throughout the organization.
- Under management direction, applies an extensive and diversified knowledge of Project Management principles and practices in assignments and related work.
- Act as a fully competent Project Manager in all conventional aspects managing Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) Projects, IM(Information Management) infrastructure upgrades or facility construction projects from initiation through closeout in accordance with quality standards and requirements.
- Support other Projects and Project Managers within the IM organization in the execution of their work scope.
- Perform Control Account Manager duties for the Projects under their responsibility.
- Makes decisions independently and represents the IM department in meetings to resolve important questions and coordinate work.
- Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed to facilitate project milestones. Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate to peers and management.
- Must take prompt actions to accomplish assigned objectives and understand/identify issues and opportunities. Comply with HMIS policies and procedures.
- Acts as a change agent to ensure ISMS principles are incorporated into organizational activities and lessons learned are applied to improve future project execution.
- Must be able to identify potential problems and develop effective mitigation strategies to manage project risk.
- Must be able to analyze cost and schedule performance data to identified trends and variances, associated causes and development of implementable and executable recovery actions.
- Requires ability to communicate with subcontractors, other HMIS organizations, peers, management, internal customers and DOE. Must be able to communicate effectively via written and verbal methods. Must be able to provide concise and complete information to communicate project status and potential issues.
- Provide input in the development of IM preventative and corrective maintenance work packages.
- Contributes to IM Pre-Job walk downs to determine procedure and work package adequacy.
- Propose system upgrades and input for IM facilities to include HVAC, Electrical/Battery-Backup and fire suppression.
- Develop and/or review statements of work impacting IM Facilities and Infrastructure.
- Other duties as assigned by the reporting manager.
Basic Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree in related field plus a minimum of 8 years of Project Engineering and Project Management related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for business operations.
- Exhibits a high degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
- Must possess ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and demonstrate the ability to quickly adapt to changing work demands and conflicting priorities.
- Previous experience in preventative and/or corrective maintenance work control.
- Able to obtain HMIS Control Account Manager qualification within 3 months of assuming role.
- Knowledge or the Project Planning and Program Baseline Planning.
Desired Qualifications
*Previous experience executing Reliability Project Investment Portfolio Projects.
- Knowledge of DOE Order 413.3B.
- Understanding of facilities and working components to include HVAC, generator, and low voltage systems.
- Experience/knowledge using/navigating design software such as AutoCAD.
- Previous IT Facilities, Telephone Central Office, and/or Utilities experience.

Grade 19: $117,225 - $147,775
Grade 20: $129,063 - $162,688
