Job Duties/Scope Of Work
The Supervisor Operations will play a critical role in the performance of HAMMER Operations' ability to ensure continuity of operations for the campus, facilities, classrooms, and props. The Supervisor will directly supervise bargaining unit personnel, both direct reports and loaned labor. The Supervisor will coordinate the group's work and assist personnel in being as productive as possible. This supervisor will regularly interface with customers utilizing the HAMMER facility.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee bargaining unit personnel in the performance of various operations activities, including classroom and prop setup, training material and equipment staging, storekeepers, warehousing, roads and grounds maintenance, and facility improvements.
- Oversee bargaining unit personnel in the performance of maintenance activities on HAMMER's structures, buildings and components.
- Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel. Schedules may require frequent adjustment based on emerging needs.
- Monitor work activities and approve time cards.
- Counsel employees on work-related issues and assist to correct deficiencies.
- Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports of findings.
- Ensure only qualified and trained personnel are assigned to perform work activities.
- Conduct worker training in safety, operational procedures, and equipment use.
- Ensure activities are performed safely and in compliance with approved procedures.
- Perform pre- and post-work work reviews, and submit material requisitions.
- Coordinate emergent roads and grounds maintenance during inclement weather.
- Work with work management team to coordinate needed resources for campus improvements.
Basic Qualifications
* BA/BS degree - or - an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Progressive experience in maintenance or operations.
- Prior experience in a leadership role or capacity (foreman, lead, project/program management, etc.).
- Knowledge of and experience with business and management principles involved in supervision, strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of principles and processes and experience providing quality and timely customer service, including needs assessment and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Desired Qualifications
* 8 years of directly related experience.
- Previous experience as a field work supervisor (FWS).
- Experience with maintenance management principles and practices including use of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Knowledge of and experience implementing DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Knowledge of labor bargaining agreements.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E, NFPA 58, and a formalized hazardous energy control program.

Grade 20: $129,063 - $162,688
