What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate - 1st shift position at Hanford Pharmaceuticals?
The Warehouse Associate assists warehouse management to ensure smooth and accurate flow of incoming and outgoing materials. Responsibilities include: maintain Company and customer inventory records and required logbooks and charts; ensure receiving, storage, distribution of materials, items and finished products is in accordance with standard operating procedures; load/unload shipments; assist with cycle counting and month-end reconciliations; assist with setup of outbound trucks for finished products following customer instructions; ship established products in the most cost effective manner using customer’s prescribed carriers; ensure delivery time frames are met consistently; facilitate and set up inbound shipments of materials and finished products; assist in administrative duties as directed. Works in a positive and constructive manner with other departments; assists in and ensures completion of required training and documentation; completes required paperwork for a cGMP regulated environment.
Work hours are typically 4 days a week, 6:00AM – 4:30PM or 5 days a week, Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM. Candidates must be flexible for overtime, and additional days including weekends.
Experience & Education requirements:
Experience with various types of forklifts is preferred. Onsite training is provided.
High school diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree or higher preferred. One to two years in a warehouse environment performing like duties with knowledge of cGMP’s preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of warehouse and transportation practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
- Knowledge and skill in operating various specialized equipment.
- Skill in operating office equipment, including computer, calculator, facsimile, copy machine, e-mail, spreadsheet databases, and telephone.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate with coworkers, management team members, and other individuals in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
