What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender/Server position at Hangar of Westfield?
The Hangar Pub and Grill of Westfield is currently looking for enthusiastic, personable individuals to join our waitstaff team.
We are specifically seeking candidates with interest in bartending, but we will consider all applicants that may be best for the position, even without bartending experience.
Responsibilities:
- Welcoming guests, listening to their beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders
- Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to guests
- Taking food/beverage orders and accurately entering them into the ordering system
- Checking identification to ensure guests are the legal age to purchase liquor.
- Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff
- Providing attentive service to guests such as checking their needs during meals
- Promptly addressing any customer service service issues and referring to management if and when necessary
- Maintaining a clean work station
We can train you on our menu, policies, and procedures, but we cannot train personality. This is a customer-facing role where you will be expected to represent the Hangar and talk to guests in a welcoming, friendly fashion.

Pay: $6.75 - $11.00 per hour
