Fillauer is hiring an Assembly Technician / Packaging Associate in Chattanooga, TN to inspect and package product for final sale.

Your Impact

• Assembles products using instructions, bills of materials and engineering drawings.
• Interprets technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, or other verbal or written instructions.
• Documents actions by electronically recording labor for each job.
• Ensures quality standards are met.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed components.
• Identifies any defective items and handles according to established procedures.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with company standards.
• May use hand tools, power tools, custom fixtures, drill presses, arbor presses, ovens, heat guns and other light duty equipment.
• May perform painting, laser etching, sewing and/or plastic thermoforming.
• Supporting assembly with sub-assemblies.
• Follow work order instructions to package products with literature, Loctite, etc. before sealing packages for final sale.
• Measure product weight to standard before packaging for stock.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Proven experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
• Good understanding of quality control principles
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work effectively independently or in a team environment
• Ability to adhere to all safety standards
• Basic math/analytical skills
• Ability to use a weight scale and measuring tape
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
• Walking, standing, or sitting for long durations of time
• The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, crouch and stoop.
