Fillauer is hiring a Manufacturing Assembly Technician in Chattanooga, Tennessee to produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies to meet production schedules.
Your Impact
- Assembles products using instructions, bills of materials and engineering drawings.
- Interprets technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, or other verbal or written instructions.
- Documents actions by electronically recording labor for each job.
- Ensures quality standards are met.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Identifies any defective items and handles according to established procedures.
- Resolves assembly problems by communicating with peers or supervisors.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with company standards.
- Uses hand tools, power tools, custom fixtures, drill presses, arbor presses, ovens, heat guns and other light duty equipment.
- May perform painting, laser etching, sewing and/or plastic thermoforming.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Proven experience in assembly
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and safely
- Good math/analytical skills with ability to use tools/take measurements
- Must work well in a team environment
- Good communications skills
- Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
