Job Title:

Cybersecurity Specialist

Location:

• Onsite in Boise, ID (Hybrid, ideally 3 days onsite per week)

Duration:

• 4-month contract (Candidates should be okay with this timeframe)

Key Responsibilities:

• Cybersecurity Risk Assessment & Remediation: Assess and identify vulnerabilities in the organization's security and implement necessary remediation actions.

• Security Architecture & Solution Design: Help design and implement security controls and systems.

• Incident Response Support: Aid in identifying and addressing security threats and assist in post-incident recovery efforts.

• Documentation & Reporting: Create clear and detailed security documentation, including policies and incident reports.

• Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders (IT, cybersecurity, business) to ensure alignment on cybersecurity goals.

• Compliance Assurance: Ensure cybersecurity measures align with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).

• Security Monitoring: Configure and monitor security tools to detect and address security threats.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Cybersecurity Expertise: 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, with skills in threat detection, risk assessment, and incident response.

• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, EDR, vulnerability management, and cloud security.

• Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, ISO, GDPR, HIPAA.

• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CompTIA Security , or CEH.

• Cloud Security: Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication to explain complex security concepts to diverse teams.

Highly Desired Skills:

• Project Management: Experience managing projects and deadlines.

• Cloud Security: Experience with cloud security tools and frameworks.

• Certifications: Any relevant certifications like CISSP, CISM, CISA.
