POSITION SUMMARY:
The Dealer Service Representative is responsible for supporting loan origination by processing and preparing loan applications. This includes reviewing loan documentation, verifying applicant information, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating the loan approval process. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loan Application Review: Review and verify loan application documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Data Entry: Enter and update loan application data into the company’s loan processing system.
- Document Management: Collect and organize borrower documentation such as credit reports, tax returns, bank statements, and other necessary materials.
- Communication with Borrowers: Communicate with borrowers and other parties to request missing or additional documents and clarify any discrepancies.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all loan documentation is in compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Collaboration with Underwriters: Work closely with underwriters to resolve any issues or additional requirements needed to approve the loan.
- Tracking and Follow-up: Track the status of loans in process, ensuring timely completion of all tasks and maintaining clear documentation of communications and actions.
- Quality Control: Review loan files to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission for final approval.
- Customer Service: Provide support to borrowers by answering questions related to the loan process and keeping them informed throughout the process.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of [2-3] years of experience in loan processing, mortgage lending, or a similar field preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of lending regulations and compliance requirements.
- Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in loan processing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
Work Environment:
- Office-based or remote (depending on company policy).
- Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines or manage increased workload.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods and use office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
Compensation:
- $16.78 per hour.
- The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.
